Fallout:Lanius Tribal Women art

With the blessing of Wade K. Savage my concept/set sketches for Fallout: Lanius can now be released! The above drawing is from a set for the Tribal Women and has been released on the Fallout: Lanius facebook page but not yet quite on my deviantart account due to software issues. Please head over to the Fallout: Lanius facebook page to let us know which design is your favourite.

Regarding the schedule for posting more art, orientation week for university starts tomorrow and as a member of my college's student body there is a week of craziness ahead that I cannot avoid. On a lighter note I've just upgraded to Photoshop CS6 so when the chaos of orientation calms down there will certainly be more art uploaded on this blog, my deviantart account and on the Fallout: Lanius sites. I will be making a facebook page specifically for my art when I can catch a break too.

A (late) December 2012 update

November was a busy month but a fun one no less! The crew filmed the Fallout: Lanius Promo and the movie itself over two periods with about a week break in between. During this time I was visiting Melbourne for the Young Australian Artists and Writers Awards which has grown substantially after last year. It was my pleasure to present two awards at the event, as well as to relax over a drink with some of the attendees afterwards. Thanks to Rob Leonard at the Children's Charity Network for the wonderful night.

Regarding Fallout:Lanius, from what I saw on that little screen on the camera side that the director can stare at the footage looked beautiful. Everyone on the crew was lovely and a pleasure to work with and I can't wait for the promo and final cut to be released, the latter in 2013 from what I know at the moment. Thankyou especially to Wade K. Savage, the director, for having me on the crew and for being a great boss (and for a great wrap party), but also to Alana, my HOD, for putting up with me and allowing me the opportunity to work on this lovely film.

January update!

Why have there been no posts lately? Well, living in Australia with the immense heat and lack of stable powerlines, ours blew up and started a grass fire on the property and since then out internet connection has been a bit sketchy. I have a December update that has not yet been editted to upload about the wrapping of Fallout:Lanius filming and some new info about the movie including some magazine interviews and spreads. Between that time and now I have completed 20 drawings for Fallout: Lanius including set concepts and layout, costume samples of the legionaires and tribals, armour and prop schematics as well as a moleskin full of on-set notes. The plan is to release these gradually with Wade's (our lovely director's) blessing.

FALLOUT: Lanius- Final Callout

About 4 hours ago on the Fallout: Lanius Facebook page, the following announcement was made:

" This is our FINAL CALLOUT for Art Department/Costume Assistants for Fallout: Lanius. Be prepared to work hard and have fun! "

FALLOUT: Lanius- promo filming completed

The crew has just finished filming the new promo for Fallout: Lanius. There was blood, gore and lots of skirts falling down.

November update

Lately I've been carving props for Fallout: Lanius, which begins filming this month.

That has been all I'm doing at the moment regarding producing any physical artwork. Hopefully I can produce so more plaster carvings not related to the movie to post here with a photographic walkthrough.

November means that Nanowrimo is here too. According to the challenge I am now attempting to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. I do plan for this novel to be illustrated so there will be some sketches posted over the month. For a week in the middle of the month I'll also be in Melbourne for the Young Australian Artist and Writers Awards.

Because I was voted my college's Liason Officer for 2013, I need to design and produce shirts and jumpers for next year by February.

Out bush we also found a goat. She is heavily pregnant and we expect her to drop kids within weeks, provided the weather clears up. She should be carrying twins as currently she appears to have two basketballs lodged in her gut.
