 Butcher's Paper on Origami Card. 

When printmaking, butcher's paper is used to protect the press blankets from stray plate ink. I've been keeping some of the pieces to cut down into texture, pattern and contrast studies.

I found Bower's work whilst searching for contemporary interpretations of mourning jewelry. Her oeuvre presents very interesting designs and considered statements about the work. The portfolios on her website are well worth exploring.
